I would stay away from red oxide as well ,Por-15 sticks to rust and makes a chemical bond if you paint it over paint is will be useless... I would paint it with ordinary metal/rust paint at b and q...A lot of people use underseal but it is a bugger to get off and repaint.... My old man said old engi...

Did you weld the pans together? Sometimes I prefer welding with galvanised because it will never corrode ,I have a piece in my pick up ,I put it there 5 years ago and it is still going strong...Might be a idea to put seam sealer on the weld because that will rust... Good luck, I have made some wacky...

Hi

You will soon lose the big gloves ,I have been welding for years in just shorts and a T shirt... 8)

I can weld with the fluxed wire but prefer the gas...

whilst we are on the subject of V5 `s I have the old log book [not the new v5] and the bottom slip is missing...How do apply for a new one...?

I am a bit worried about number 4 cylinder

I need 4 spark plugs ,I am waiting for them to arrive... But I have two good ones ,I can get the good ones to fire on all cylinders apart from number 4 ,the rear one.... It has bags of compression and the valves open and close and gapped correctly... Could the carbe be pushing more petrol into numbe...
