Ammeter
Hi, just fitted an ammeter (30amp) with an alternator . Its slows a very very small positive charge The battery condition shows 14V when running) . However if I switch the lights on the ameter hardly moves. I was expecting a large discharge. Could I have wired it in wrong?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Can you help Identify 1275 heads
How can I tell if the head is actually unleaded? My thought was that the red head was unleaded but it has a bypass pipe. can that be the case?

Re: pressure relief valve stuck closed.
Hi, I got the piston out and it looked OK and was in good condition so is it possible that the pressure would not drop at tick over and remain at 50 or 60 psi?

pressure relief valve stuck closed.
Hi, My midget engine has been running with a 65/70 PSI pressure even on tick over, it does go up a bit when increasing speed so I am sure the gauge is ok . I thought it was the oil cooler keeping oil to cold so I removed the item to give better access in the bay (too many hoses and all in the way) a...

Hi, thanks. Looks like I may have saved a few pennies!! Do you think if a light source was added into the cavity as well things would be better?

morris 1000 exhaust routing
hi, I have two questions. 1/ can you use an exhaust like that of an mg midget that goes under the axle as opposed to over the axle. 2/ I have a mg midget rear box and intermediate pipe that was attached to an lcb manifold. Who makes an lcb for a minor? I assume the midget lcb cant be made to fit. th...

Who makes the best Panels
I know people may not like to nominate suppliers so all I am looking for is a candid view on panel fit. I see Hadrian panels, ESM and Charles Ware all supply panels. I need sill repair panels and maybe a spring hanger. What is the view on best fit? I know Charles Ware and ESM are very helpful . many...

Fitting sill and front spring hanger panels
Hi, What is the concencus on fitting replacement front or rear sill repair panels and the front spring hangers. looking at charles ware site it looks like these are fitted on top of the floor rather than cut out and butt welded. Hi, I am running a 1275 midget in std tune, 3 branch exhaust and hif carb. It has an oil cooler with no thermo stat. My question is ! As the pipes fill up the engine bay and generally get in the way is there any point in keeping it ? The last owner fiited it but I only use the car upto about 2000 mi...
