yes, the choke is getting pulled out. Sometimes it fires right up, other times we get the whirr.

I was getting a good spark at the plugs, but I'll try putting new plugs in.

She just called and said it fired up, she let it run for 5-10 minutes, shut it off and tried to start it again. Same whirr problem.

It's not connected. There are no wires from the sender in the block at all, in fact, it doesn't look like an electrical sender at all.

I meant oil feed line. Capillary for water temp.

It looks like the oil line may be damaged. It is copper and it looks like a section was replaced with a rubber hose and some clamps. Might explain why the gauge doesn't work. I have some 1/8 copper tubing, so I can replace it.
