I used the 1275 unit from bull motive but am looking at the copper unit they have as might stand up a bit more :D

right sorry left some details out there, its running the standard 1100 block with a 1275 head, the fan is a stand alone unit that pulls air through the rad, only took the thermos out as was trying to see if that kept her cool (it doesn't) i was thinking of adding a second fan to the system, might tr...

hi guys, right just a quick one, im having major issues with keeping the mog cool. i fitted the 1275 head, a metro gta radiator with an electric pull through fan and a swirl pot/ expansion tank. now if i go on any long drives (ie like 25-30 miles) shes hitting near on 100deg c this is with the fan o...

ah right so measure from the mateing surface of the head back into the valve got ya. guna stick it on my engineering flat and go about it with a feeler guage make sure she is straight, will do that today. thanks for the help guys, as i say will have a test fit of this sometime this week weather permitting,

how did you get your valve movement measurements, just lots of weight onto the top of them?? or turn the engine by hand with the head fitted and a rule next to the valve stem?

mini 1275 head

as i understand it the 1275 mini a+ head i have can be bolted onto my 1098 to give a bit better pefomance is this

a) true

and

b) just a case of bolting it on without having to modify anything

???

odiham is the back drop and the imp is my mates, its now on the road (well kinda, doddgy fuel pump/fueling issues) its now audi imola yellow.

thinking of sticking either a 1300 a series in her or i have a 1.4 k-series engine (metro gte) sat in my garrage

the 1300 would prob cost less

thoughts??

na did it myself, only took 40 odd mins, was a pain though cause i only changed it 4 months ago. prob didn't tourqe it down enough

but all's well that ends well
