So I checked the voltage across the battery tonight and it was 14.25V when I gave the engine a wee rev. My dad is sick of me borrowing his battery charger so what do you all think? Buy a battery charger for £35ish or an alternator conversion kit for £60ish??? Does everyone experience the same proble...

Hi everyone, I have bought and fitted a new battery and the car was running great for a week. Yesterday however it died again. I did spend much of the day in traffic with lights and heater on. Is there a possibility that the dynamo can output enough to put the red light off but not enough to supply ...

Battery Problems

Hey everyone, My Morris has developed a very annoying problem. My battery needs charged every 3 days!!!! The red light on the speedo glows at idle but turns off when I rev the engine. At idle the lights are really dim and the indicator flashes really REALLY slow...as soon as I rev the engine the lig...

Traveller window leak!!!

My traveller is leaking a lot of water through the passenger side rear window. I have taken all the interior trim off and had a look at it and can't see how to sort it. It's like the water is going under the glass and up and over the other side. The wee channel in the wood is there for it to drain o...

Petrol problems?!?!?

So I was driving to work this morning and there was a real smell of petrol coming from the engine bay, I pulled over and saw the the carb float chamber was overflowing. I unscrewed the lid and blew through the assembly making sure the float and valve stopped the air...all was good. I re-assembled it...

Well it had come loose and the I tried to tighten the screws and they are just spinning. Think they have just threaded the wood over the years.

Grey Morris in Coatbridge?!?!

Does anyone here own the wee grey Morris near St Ambrose high in Coatbridge?? I drive past quite a lot and always see it sitting out on the road. Looks very tidy.

Traveller Rear Door Lock Assembley

One of the wee L-shaped brackets that the pin (the thick one that essentially locks the rear doors) runs through has come off the back door of my traveller. I would just screw the screws back in but they are hidden behind the pin which goes through the bracket.

Any tips on fixing this??

It's just had a full new wiring loom in it so what other reason would cause the fuse to blow?

Indicators and fuel guage not working

I was driving today and noticed that my indicators were not working. I then looked at the fuel guage and it wasn't working.

Any ideas??

Strange Tyre Issue

Hey everyone, So I woke up this morning to a flat rear tyre. I pumped it back up just to see what would happen and it has stayed fully inflated. I took it for a drive...still fully inflated. Any idea's why I had a flat? Also, do I need to go to special places to get a new tyre or just head over to B...

Right...cool. So I need both wired in order for the stereo to function. My live feed is yellow, my switched feed is red. Would I wire the yellow to where it shows on my diagram and the red to a connector on the other side of the fuse box??

Right...I get the wire point but what is the point of the switched connection if there is always a live feed. I don't have a problem switching it on and off myself (i'll be taking the face off anyway)...just worried about draining the battery. Is it bad practice to have 2 wires...an earth and a powe...

So your suggesting i take the power from the fuse box, run it through a 10amp(?) inline fuse then into the stereo??

Also i'm guessing the ACC wire is the ignition wire I'm talking about...it's red...would I just connect that to the other side of the fuse box if I wanted to do that?

It's been discussed a thousand times...but stereos?!?!

Hi guys, I have done a search of all the stereo threads but I don't want to set my traveller on fire so thought I would ask for confirmation on my stereo plan. It's a basic Alpine head unit and I want it to retain EQ settings and saved stations. Speakers aren't an issue...that's sorted. Where to put...
