Changed the condenser this morning and took car for a run over open road and some of it up a slight incline so had load on. Seemed to behave OK but will have to do a longer run to check on it and be sure.
The condenser I removed wasn't that old or done many miles.

Engine miss
First time out for my MM1000 for a good run this morning and everything was going fine then engine died and then came back and it did it a few more times and even backfired a couple of times and then came back fine for a while afterwards. So when this started to happen I turned for home and made it ...

Bleeding Brakes
I have replaced my front wheel cylinders as they were starting to stick. The new cylinders are in and I have bled the brakes using the pedal pump open and close bleed value and have also tried keeping the tube in a bottle with brake fluid and opening the bleed valve and pump pedal until no air bubbl...

Piece of metal found in bellhousing
My car started making some terrible noises going up a hill. Once we got over the hill the noise went and there didn't seem to be anything wrong with the clutch. Have pulled engine out (948cc) and found a small piece of metal that on the curved edge is bevelled on one side and the squarer edge has be...

Re: Breather pipe
Its an output, to reduce pressure within the engine, so you should make sure pipe is clear. There is also a breather on the tappet cover as well. Too much pressure inside the engine can force oil to leak out. Do you have any problems of excess oil leakage, particularly at rear of engine

I had a similar problem and after I replaced the rubbers on the tie bars all came right. Hold on doing anything about the brakes almost sure its the rubbers they have worn down and allowing for movements backwards and forwards under braking.

Top Swivel pin
I cannot get grease into my top RH swivel pin. Its not the grease nipple as swapped the one from the left side in but still no go. I suspect grease has gone hard in there. Is there any way of clearing this or will I have to strip it down and clean out. If I have to strip it down what is the easiest ...

Re: Brakes 1960 saloon
I have a '62 4 door which has had 8" fronts fitted but obviously still have the small bore. What is the difference between the small bore & bigger bore m/cylinders. Is it pedal pressure.

Re: 8" Brake Drums
Just checked on LH front and the back plate is the LH and looking at the hub the front wheel cylinder facing to the ground and the rear one is facing upwards. So all that looks fine to me.
Dont get me wrong, it stops but from my experience with other Morries it should be better than what it is.

Re: 8" Brake Drums
I got this pic off ebay. It says the left one is a Riley and right on a Wolsley. The ones on the front of my car look like the shape of the ones on the right. The question do they work as well as the shape of the left one. I have to press the pedal quite hard (harger than my last car). I have change...
