Re: Big probs with the german TÜV! need help
Hallo Dirk, If TÜV doesn't like your disk brakes, I can offer a set of those 8'' drum brakes (Wolseley 1500 drums and back plates, new Morris cylinders and new TR7 linings) that BMC suggested. Just let me know. I've got the same setting - no prob. :D Ich habe die gleiche Bremse in meinem Morris mont...

Hi there,
bottom of the drivers door at my Traveller is rotten too.
I'd love to read that article mentioned above but cannot get that magazine here in Germany.
May I ask that someone send a copy via PM.
Thank you.

Re: which springs for TR7 shoes in Wolseley 9'' drums
@ Roy just moved the springs to the other holes. That's fine. Thank you for pointing me that way. When I put the drum over the shoes and cylinders next to the backplate it looks like the shoes are to wide (44 mm) and the drums don't close properly over the backplate. Re: which springs for TR7 shoes in Wolseley 9'' drums
That is what it looks like so far. The Wolseley 9'' springs are very slack and I might give it a try with Morris 8'' springs or even Midgte 7'' springs using different holes. The shoes are still a little wide and will have to see the grinder.[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1397387939_8767...

Re: which springs for TR7 shoes in Wolseley 9'' drums
Hi Roy, I knew it was only a matter of time for you to post an answer. To fit the Morris cylinders and TR7 shoes to the Wolseley backplate I had to drill one extra hole to the backplate for each cylinder and to grind a small slot to each shoe for the adjusters. As I have got Wolseley springs I will ...

which springs for TR7 shoes in Wolseley 9'' drums
Hi there, I'm just prepairing Wolseley 9'' brakes for my Traveller and fitted TR7 shoes and Morris calipers to a Wolseley backplate. But now I realized that Wolseley springs don't fit that combination without drilling extra holes to the shoes. There are a lot of useful hints on this board to adapt T...

Hi there,
thank you so much. It has been great fun to read these articles and will hopefully help to convince German TÜV-inspectors to follow my plans.

Morris Minor in car magazines
Hi there, does anyone know about articles in classic car magazines giving evidence that there have been Minors with 1275 engines in the eighties. I'm going to put a 1275 Midget engine in my 1100 Traveller and German authorities want to see some kind of proof that it has been done year ago. Th...

Re: Looking for a MM enthusiast (dealer?) near Poole/Dorset
Hi Roy, I heard you talking about that before and will collect these TR7 shoes at an MG meeting in the Netherlands tomorrow. :D Before fitting the W brakes I have to wait a few weeks because the "pair" of brakes I found in Beaulieu consisted of two RH brakes. But will get the right ...
