Re: Trunnion replacement first timer

Bull Motif do a complete replacement kit which I think is the best option. You may find a short time after replacing one trunnion then there is a need to replace the other, so, get it all done at once.

Re: Paint Colours

Hi, if you go into an auto paint shop they will put whatever colour you want into an aerosol can. They sould be able to advise you on how much is needed.

Re: Paint Colours

Hi, the original BL paint colour for the wheels was Platinum Grey. When I did my wheels last winter I couldn't find this colour at all in the BL range. I did find a match in the modern colours and that was Nissan KX4 Silver Metalic. I had the wheels sprayed in this and they really look the part.

Thanks Dean. I managed to get details from the DVLA of all the previous owners of my current moggie and the cost was £5.

Yes I know info is available from the DVLA for a fee but I don't think Dean has paid out for the info he provided.

Re: Past Memories

Dean. Many thanks for the info on 403J and I am intrigued to know how you came to find this out. Also, from your source, is there any link to the 2007 owner and the address. I would love to make contact to find out if the car has been sold on to someone else or if it still exists.

Past Memories

This afternoon I was travelling along the Bridgenorth Road towards Wolverhampton and I came up behind a snowberry white Morris Minor Traveller. Back in October 1970 we bought a brand new snowberry white Morris Minor Traveller registration no VVP 403 J. Guess what, the moggie I came up to this aftern...

Late heater lever knob

The knob on the heater lever is missing on my Moggie. This, I think, should be moulded to the lever. Can anyone suggest an alternative push on type which may be available or know of a stockist that may have something suitable.
Thanks Bob.

Re: silver wheel paint

I've recently had my wheels repainted and the best match from modern colours was Nissan KX4 Silver Metallic. This is a dark silver and my wheels look great.

dark silver wheels

Hi Pete
I've just had my wheels done and I took a match from inside the rim well. The closest colour match was Nissan KX4 Silver Metallic in 2 pack enamel.
My wheels now look spot on.

Hi Don I've recently obtained my Moggie history from the DVLA and the Heritage Cenre. For the DVLA go on their website and print off form V888. Fill this in and send it off with £5 and they will do the search for you. It may take a few weeks but be patient. The Heritage Centre can provide info of th...

paint colour

PSL 184 Hi Today I went to the local Auto Paint Shop and searched through the British Leyland paint colours on the basis that I thought that Platinum Grey, as listed on the Moggie paint list, was a good possibility. I found a number of Platinum shades but no Platinum Grey. I then looked through the ...
