Re: photo required of A pillar replacement!

Les, first, I'm sorry for not replying sooner!!!! I have been out of action for months and havnt been able to get online even. Thankyou so much for the photos, if you have any more and any bigger ones would probably be the exact thing to get me going again! If you could find the time I would really ...

Re: photo required of A pillar replacement!

I've got a few of the inner A pillar before welding in place the back cover, it shows the hinge plates etc. Let me know if they will help before I gather them up! That would really help - I would appreciate it alot! Chickenjohn - theres nothing left of the A pillar, inner wing and kidney panel. Sta...

photo required of A pillar replacement!

If anyone has any pictures of a moggy without its front doors from the side and above (with the focus being on the A pillar) I would really appreciate it

Re: Custom Pickup Restoration

Oh no :( you've went and done one of the things I was hoping to do with my moggy! Oh well, at least it gives me an idea of how it will look. I really like your pickup though. If you ever get bored of the project let me know. I've got to the stage with mine that I could literally scrap it and buy som...

Re: Pick-up custom

The local (very reputable) tuner favours these over many aftermarket ecu's and as such, has fitted and tuned around 110 varying DTA ecu's into cars. He also happens to be a friend of mine and as we're machining the rollers for his new rolling road I may recieve a reasonable discount!

Re: Pick-up custom

I forgot to update this thread last weekend, dropped the front subfame/engine/suspension as one, the back axle as a whole and stripped the car of any other valuables too along with the complete and incredibly complex wiring looms. I had the shell of the nissan collected and weighed in for scrap afte...

Re: Pick-up custom

Thanks :D Thats a fair question - Its partly the reason why I bought a complete running car tbh (albeit with alot taken off that I didnt need to get the price down a considerable amount). I'll start dismantling as I go along, labelling everything along the way and working out what I can discard. Fro...

Re: Pick-up custom

I'm debating weather to widen the body or take it up with wider arches. I'm not plonking the morris body onto the 300zx - I'll be making my own chassis, but the engine itself would fit under the hood of a standard moggy with minor chassis mods, but some bulkhead and innder wing mods would be needed....

Re: Close to abandoning my project :( (pics)

The repair panels suggested are the panels I have already. They only do the 'front' of the pillar as the back is a pretty different shape. I weighed up using two welded together but it still wouldnt look right I thought. I'll take some more pics tomorrow evening. Cost isnt an issue at the minute. I ...

Close to abandoning my project :( (pics)

I had a look round local scrapyards, I've asked members on here and I've searched online shops. I'm in desperate need of either 2 repair panels for traveller B posts, or good condition posts. I cant fabricate these pieces myself as I dont have the time nor the strength in my main wrist. Pics help ht...

Drivers side floor pan stampings

Can anyone tell me if the drivers side floor on a 2/4 Dr had pressings/dimples in? or was it just a completely flat panel?

Thanks

What doors are common to morris minors?

What models share their doors? Am I right in thinking that the front doors off a saloon/convertible are the same as a traveller, and that the pick-up, van and 4 door all share their doors? (fronts obviously) and are there any changes to these through the years? i.e. shape of the inner B post where t...

Re: Pick-up custom

Cheers ross :D Workshops not that big but I'm grateful of the space all the same! Far from restoring the car, got some major plans for it but at the minute, just getting the cab to a useable solid state. Anymore info on your computer build? i've spent £1500 on my watercooled build so far  Jordan
