I carry spanner set ,socket set ,plugs with a spanner ,air filter ,oil filter ,dizzy cap and rotor arm ,condenser,foot pump ,tow rope ,spare wheel + jack + wheel brace /starting handle ,20 litres petrol and 5 litres water. The point is if you find the right car then a one off journey is worth while, I travelled from Lincolnshire to Anglesey 450 mile round trip but with a good result i.e. right car + right price ! ! !

I always use a stoplock on mine ,they are very quick and easy to use ,very visable and lets face it not many of us fit the latest state fo the art sound system in a moggy so I wouldn't bother with an expensive alarm / immobiliser.

Please take plenty of pics when you get around to recovering the seats , it's a job I've got to get done within the next year

It has a MOT until April 09 ,looking around I thought a figure of about £1200 ish would get me a replacement should the worst ever happen.

Been looking about and think I may have got our car under insured .I payed £700 for it ,the only blemish is a small bubble about the size of a 10p coin on the drivers door ,inside is in good order. Well I've recently bought a 1969 Minor ,but not having a garage to spare ,I will need a good cover to keep out the weather. Can anyone recommend a cover that is a good fit and also won't do more harm than good.[/b]

Thanx for the welcome, just got in from giving Shrek a new set of plugs and a tank of fresh petrol as it had been wrapped up in the last owners garage for the pasted year and was running very rough. Funny enough , thats is the route I took for my first run out ! and I'm still in one piece.

Mind you I said I took it for a drive , as I'm 6ft5'' and 20 stone ,I couldn't really work out if I was driving it or wearing it !
