well obviously it feels hot but not "steaming hot" I did not lose a drop of water. Dont know what you mean by sound hot?

it needs tuning anyway, as it is a little "lumpy" when cold, so I may as well do the timing to be on the safe side.

changed the thermostat and it have improved a incy bit.

giving it a run to dover tomorow, it will be is first long(ish) run, so I will see what it is like after that. (and stop and let her cool down if she gets to hot)

I have just put a new engine in today. it all seems very nice apart from it seems to be running very hot. what could be the cause? I think the thermostat is ok, but I will change it tomorrow anyway. If that fails what else could be the problem? I think my temperature gauge is OK, as on the old engin...
