Re: I just need to vent. I apologise.

I found that with driving lessons, one lesson felt fantastic and the next terrible. It would alternate like that. It sounds to me like you and your driving instructor were having a bad day, maybe give it another whirl and if he's still a grumpy sod switch to another instructor. I had driving lessons...

Hi there, thank you all very much for the advice; I have been busy with work, so I appologise about the late feedback. So to update you on the progress so far: I checked the engine and there is a tag on the right hand side of the engine as you stand looking into the engine bay. It is painted green l...

Gearbox/Clutch Issues - HELP!

I have just had a reconditioned gearbox fitted to my 1963 Minor. (You may remember I posted on the forum a month or so ago for advice as to whether or not I should upgrade my gearbox/brakes) I decided to purchase a recon 1098 gearbox and was also advised by a number of people to install a new clutch...

Thanks so much everyone for your time and advice... I'm amazed by how quick the replys are. I'm going to have a long think and also see what finances dictate... Out of interest...although I don't have any intention to sell, would a five speed gear box add value to the car? I'll let you all know what...

P.S. Also, for future reference, what could have caused my gearbox to break in the first place? Is it a common problem?

My car's falling to pieces!!! Advice required!

Dear Minor Fans! This topic is about the brakes and gearbox... To cut a long story short, I took my moggy (A 1963, 1098cc saloon) to the garage as it really didn't sound healthy. I asked the mechanic to see if he would sort out the horrible clunking, clattering noises eminating from the gearbox; I s...

Security

I'm worried about parking the Moggy in public car parks with its limited security features, especially in the warm weather when you want to leave the windows open to keep it cool. Can you get a steering wheel lock that will fit onto the thin origional Moggy 1000 steering wheel like the ones you can ...

Query: Interior 1963 Minor 2 dr Saloon

In the future, cost permitting, I would like to refit the interior of my Minor 1000 (pictured below), as the vinyl, carpets, parcelshelf and roof lining have not been finished to the same standard as the rest of the car! Upon browsing the internet, I found a company which sold 'duotone' vynle seat c...
