I have now sold my Traveller so probably will not be on here very often.

Thanks for all the help you gave during the restoration process. A great club and forum.

Our Traveller lived outside for the past 22 years (previous owner) and was in some state when we bought it. Now its garaged along with my Manta. The every day cars now live outside, although I would prefer the MGF to be garaged as well.

Nice Metro Dan - looks in pristine condition. A steel at that price.

If its a central diff with visible driveshafts rather than a solid axle I would not stick a jack under the diff.

Is there a good area around the bottom suspension mount the get a jack in place. Ideally see if the handbook mentions jacking points first though.

My SIP has had similar problems in the past, a couple of things have helped in my case - Using 0.6mm wire - still a 5kg drumm. I had terrible problems a couple of years back with another 5kg drum. Aye - but you need an oil-free compressor AND special filter unit to clean the air before it's pumped into the mask - and your lungs!! And another compressor for the spraying. Let's see the details of the 'good quality mask' Kate! But kennatt is right enough - brushing/rolling will carry v low risk...

If your compressor does not have a regulator you will need to fit one to bring the pressure down to a suitable PSI for spraying, I always set mine to around 50psi but its personal preference to a certain extent. Aldi had that compressor back in again a few weeks back - great value for money - I think it would be fine for spraying panels or small areas but doubt it would cope with continuous spraying for a whole car.

Its not the psi that needs to be that high (I use my gun around 40 -50 psi) but your compressor needs to have a cfm rating of at least that and preferably far more than the cfm rating of the gun. Generally though the bigger the better so you have enough air to keep the gun fed otherwise you have to ...
