Hi all, I had the same problems with my 63 minor trying to get the temp gauge working but never did. In the end i purchased a capillary temp gauge screwed it into the head where the elictric sensor went and hey presto a gauge that is accurate and worked first time. Never looked back since. never had mine running as it the car was bought stripped with the engine on the back seat and the gearbox in the front footwell. sidevalve con rod markings
hi im re building my sidevalve engine in my 1950 lowlight. On one of the conrods just above the cranckshaft bearing there is the german flag mark the other three all are marked sdf. Hi David Thanks for the reply I am lucky in that respect all the frame work and the catches are in excellent condition but no rubbers came with the car that was all stripped into boxes when I bought it. I much prefer stripping the car myself but had no option withthis one as someone had already star...

I am rebuilding a 1950 mm 2 door and in need of a pair of quarter light rubbers. The ones I require are the early ones with the internal pivot and would love a new or a good secondhand pair.
