Pedro My car has a different handle than yours. Mine is the later one piece style[no seperate handle]. Your handle was used up until car #434268 approx. Jeff

Thanks for the reply. Ive since taken a pressure washer to to trunk/top of fuel tank. Wow what a difference! I can clearly see that must be a factory thing. The sides are black but the center is painted. there is a distinct mask line. Also there is no overspray on the tank. Must have been done with ...

under coating in boot

Hello I have a 59 convertible. The trunk[boot]area has been covered with a thick tar like undercoat. I am in the states and I know that this practice was fairly common under the car but not inside.
So, the question is: Is this "factory"? Is this a common dealer ad on?

Battery cables

I have a 59 Tourer. The Pos. battery cable goes to the sheet metal battery "box". The parts manual shows another cable that runs from there to the engine???? Where does it attach? Head bolt? bellhousing bolt?manifold stud?
I cant find a picture that shows this. Any help?
