You are doing the right thing by doing your research first. I don't think your choice of gun and compressor are compatible. The gun specs require 3hp compressor. I would go for a smaller gun, have a look on Ebay. I have sprayed panels with a so called touch up gun. It won't tackle a complete respray...

Great work and great photos but please please get some proper stands anything is much better than bricks or concrete blocks. My favorite after axle stands is wooden blocks, railway sleepers cut up are good.

Police vehicles didn't used to have an mot, but when my local HQ was built it included MOT bays ready for the proposed change.. They would also have to provide a service to the public as any other MOT station. Some how I don't think I will be using them. Tractors have never needed MOTs and now don't...

The results are excellent, the only slight draw back is they don't seem to last as long. I have got fed up of buying hammerite and the...

axle pinion seal

I am replacing the pinion oil seal on my rear axle, my manuals say to replace the distance piece before torqueing up the pinion nut to 140 ftlbs. I cannot find anyone who lists this distance spacer, can anyone help.

I ended up in hospital for half a day after a shower at home. I had been grinding and cutting all day and must have washed a sliver of metal into my eye. I can't think of many ways to avoid this.
