Re: LNT 866F, 1968 4 door
I ran Linda around this morning and decided the brakes needed further attention, and am now satisfied with the pedal. Which leads me onto the next point... The MOT was duly passed, so I've got her taxed and had a bit of a potter. The engine needs a bit of work, the timing chain needs replacing and i...

Re: LNT 866F, 1968 4 door
Sorry about the lack of updates... I've not been too good following a comprehensive falling down of our stairs! However, I managed to get a few hours in, the welding is finished, needing quite a lot of work as it turned out in the driver's rear inner sill / spring hanger area to bring it up to an ac...

Re: Two scrappers
If these are the two I think they are, about half a mile from me near the centre of a certain south lancs town, they've been there many, many, many, years, the owner of the garage is a strange one, if he's even alive now... Not even sure he was then! I enquired about these when I was sixteen and loo...

Re: LNT 866F, 1968 4 door
Hi all, Sorry I didn't post last weekend as my camera, although quite happy taking the pictures, refused to part with them. I've also picked up 'Red' the traveller finally, I've burnt the midnight oil for a couple of days on that, and now red is through an MOT, reasonably presentable and useable, al...

Re: LNT 866F, 1968 4 door
I really can't gel with MIG, and I've really tried to like it.
I come from a gas and arc background although I'm finally graduating to TIG as the prices of a DC set have dropped quite a bit, TIG in my opinion is much more like it if you are good at gas...

Re: LNT 866F, 1968 4 door
Hi all, Got a couple of hours in again today and made a bit more progress. The 'easy' chassis leg repair on the passenger side has turned out to be anything but! There were patches on patches, the eyebolt having come out with the torsion bar and the core of the bolt hole from the chassis leg. There'...

LNT 866F, 1968 4 door
Hi all, Having now had my 'wobble' and decided not to sell (I'm planning to do the work on LNT, let Sharon use her for a while while I refit the Land Rover, barn storing the traveller until I can sort it for myself), I'm therefore posting the work as and when I get around to it. In short, she's not ...

Re: 1970 2 door project - VBE 264J
Looks surprisingly solid... Considering where it's been stored!
I like the maroon 'b' colour also!
I wonder if you could cobble an MGB box onto the prima? or alternatively a Spitfire 1500 overdrive unit might be interesting... I just happen to have one of each...

Not surprising you couldn't get me on my phone, I went swimming with it the other week and it's never been the same since! I'll PM you my number. If you need a hand give me a shout. Always happy to come over and lend a hand (I've only 3 moggy projects, one Land Rover one and a Cinema Organ installat...

Hi John... That 2L diesel wouldn't happen to be of land rover origin would it? I fancy doing something similar with one of mine, however I got 40mpg on a 500 mile trip to Scotland and back in our standard tourer, overloaded with kids and dogs and luggage and stuff this week, and I seldom dropped bel...

I appologise to everyone about the rain... It's raining continuously because I've taken the woodwork off my traveller with a view to replacement, and garage commitments mean this job's largely got to be done on the drive. We've had a monsoon every time I've done that job over the years! Sorry! Soggy...

I've got two, a 1962 ex-RAF SWB diesel and a 1964 LWB Marshall Ambulance which is a petrol. I've never got two pennies to rub together but can afford to run the Ambulance every day... My driving style must just suit it. I wouldn't be without them now as they've taken the strain off the Traveller. Th...

My traveller (after a fashion)
Here are some pictures of my 1958 traveller "Patch", well, you can see where the name came from... She was my daily drive for many years up until I bought my Series 2 Land Rover, eventually her body gave up (as they do) and she was put to one side in the garden until I had time to repair h...

I always had issues with this on mine as I could open and start mine myself if I forgot my keys... not saying how... I was very lucky really as in nearly 20 years of Moggy ownership I've never had one pinched. Both of my Mum's were though at one time or another. Up until now I've owned mainly tatty ...

I did consider putting a 2 litre perkins turbo diesel from a Montego into a Minor a while back... I did put one into a Short wheelbase Series 2 Land Rover but that was far too heavy for it to pull successfully, until the turbo kicked in... I've since decided against it for the Moggy as, with the pri...

This reserve lark gets on my nerves! These people should expect time wasters as they are in effect wasting bidders time. Why not just tell the world what you want for it and stop letting people guess. I'm after a traveller myself (I already have a dark green '58 similar to the subject vehicle, alth...
