how far are you going? if its just a quick re-spray you could leave the wings & doors on. if you have the car stripped anyway i would paint the shell & panels seperately. also i wouldnt paint flat on the floor-too much muck & dust down there. paint them on a table or workbench at least a...

can any one tell me how to remove the N/S door lock lever?
i'm getting ready to paint the other half's 68 2 door & i cant for the life of me see how to remove the locking lever from the lock body itself.

lead free head

the other half is considering(read, me paying) a lead free head for her 1098. Gs Jones have them on the website at a reasnoble £150( well, its reasnoble when you're used to paying out Volvo prices :D )

any one used one of these-whats the quality like, any problems at all?

sierra 4x4

just dipping my toe in , so to speak.
anyone know if its feasable to put sierra 4x4 running gear ito a minor?

fabricatings not an issue-got a friendly engineering type who could narrow axles & fab brackets etc
i know its a big job, but probably easier than using my decrepit MR2 running gear.

i was going to go the fiat twin cam route on my 68 2 door, but due to ins company not playing ball, i'm stuck for funds. i am running about in a cosmetically challenged MR2 which will in all likelyhood fail its mot in jan. i did think about mid engined minor-but after a two year rebuild on the previ...

is it a 5 0r 6? the se5's were prone to this as they often were not allowed to cure properly before paint & final finishing. the moisture trapped in the gel coat will try to get out any way it can-it can take years to develop & usually rears its head when the paint is applied too thick. i on...

OK, got the minor home & boy does it look rough! brush paint & bodge seem to be holding most of the wings together & while i was underneath sorting the gear change/clutch adjustment i could see daylight through the o/s front floor pan! the brakes worked-ish driving it on & off the tr...
