1972 Pick-Up Restoration
I've enjoyed reading many articles about ongoinf restorations and, like many LCV owners followed the thread of David Miles Pick-Up restoration with great interest. I don't have the capability to restore bodywork, although I'd love to learn, I therefore have no option but to ship my pick-up to a prof...

White body Colours
Looking to respray a 2 door and just wondered which 'White' Body colour was the brightest.
Understand from the paint charts there is 'Old English White', 'Snowberry White' and, a 'Glacier White'.
Which White colour is the brightest. ?

LCV Axle and Saloon Axle
With the exception on the Diff Ratio, I don't think there is any difference between a LCV Axle and/or a Saloon/Traveller Axle but, would welcome someone just confirming for me. Are Spring mountings, brakes etc are all the same? I have a spare Saloon axle and was going to rebuild it before I change i...

MMOC Spares Day. Collection of parts
Unfortunately I'm unable to attend the open weekend of the MMOC spares Clearance, 2nd/3rd March. I'm hoping someone who may be going could kindly bring back a bonnet and wing for me. I've already purchased them and Bryan has put to one side. I'm not looking for them to be delivered but brought a lit...

toyota gearbox.
I realise that the Ford Gearbox, Type 9 is the common 5 speed conversion but, I'm favouring the Toyota conversion. However, I'd like to accquire as many of the fitting kit for the Toyota conversion as possible so, if you can help, along with comments about how to go about it, it would be appreciated...

Re: Details of 3ltr Minor/s in Warwickshire
Saw lots of interesting and appealing Minors on the site you suggested but, not the ones I was looking for.
Thanks anyway.
Does anyone else know of these Customised minors in the area, and better still have any pics etc?

Details of 3ltr Minor/s in Warwickshire
Some 20+ years ago (showing my age!) there used to 2 or maybe 3 Custom Minors in or around the Coventry/Warwickshire area. I remember they were powered by the Ford 3ltr V6 and at least one of them was Supercharged. Found an old Pic of a Green one but I'm fairly sure there was a Red and/or a Black on...

Re: bmw head.....
I'd buy the bike if you wanted to sell it.
I'd love to go down this 16V route. Is it only the K100 RS that has the 16v Head as, I thought the BMW K100 RT was 8v? As you own a BMW Bike you may be a man in the know?

HIF44 Inlet manifold - None Heated vs Heated
I have a heated inlet manifold and was thinking about fitting a none heated inlet manifold but, not sure what vehicle had them fitted. Can any one advise?
I'm sure there's many Pro/cons for and against a heated vs a none heated manifold.

I realise that there may be some who read this that will accuse me of gloating but, this is nit the case, I'm just sooooooo blink'in happy. I'm collecting parts for the restoration of a late Austin Pick-Up and, I should say I'm stil after many items, however, this is a tale of one of those passing c...

3.7 Crown Wheel & Pinion
I've been offered a new old stock Midget 3.7 Crown Wheel and Pinion. As i'm thinking of putting a MG1275cc engine and gearbox in my minor, I was considering changing the diff but, now I've been offered the 3.7 gears I was just wondering if I can replace the 4.2 gears with the 3.7 gears as a straight...

Re: 1098cc or MG 1275cc Engine? (Fast Road/Race)
Having read the replies, I'd fortunate that I already own a restored 69 Pick-Up with a slightly modified MG 1275cc engine and all the bits to bring it slightly upto date (5 speed, Disc brakes, Anti roll bar etc) I also own a 58 Van that also has a MG 1275cc, running MG gearbox and standard Morris Ca...

1098cc or MG 1275cc Engine? (Fast Road/Race)
I'm 'Slowly' restoring a 72 Austin Pick-Up and contemplating what to do with the engine. Should I fit the original 1098 or a MG 1275cc engine. I've already acquired a few bit & bobs and these include a fully reconditioned MG gearbox, 3.9 diff, EN24 Race half shafts, HIF 44 carb with heated inlet...

How can I tell if it's a HIF38 or HIF44 Carb.?
As you've been so helpfull answering another query I had, I thought I'd post another one! In a whole box of bits I've unearthed, I have a Carb connected to a Heated Inlet manifold but, I'd like to know if it's a HIF38 or HIF44? Are there any noticeable differences? Does anyone have any comments abou...
