Did mine last week. Screens popped out easily in about 10 mins. Replacement took hours of trial and error . Definitely recommend a helper. Final attempt only took about 20 mins of frantic bashing and lots of swearing.

Oh, and it still leaks

Every trip is an adventure. As said previously, go for a later one with the bigger engine that'll keep up with modern traffic. Here's mine in a local pub car park. Minors are really common round here

The rubber parts do isolate the metal parts. They have M8 threaded sections (nuts I suppose) at each end. I used M8 threaded rod and locknuts to get my adjustment. It passed the time anyway.
