Re: London Marathon 2011

Contrary to the above posts, I won't actually be driving round (unfortunately) I'll have signs on my shoulders saying something like 'Rhino Tobias', for anyone who may be watching in April. You were right about one thing though; I will be the one at the back... Pic of the suit below. P...

London Marathon 2011

Hi Everyone. Not exactly Minor related I'm afraid (except that I drive a Minor). I'm taking part in the London Marathon in April to raise money for Save the Rhino International. I'll be running in one of the famous Rhino suits, as if the 26.2 miles wasnt challenging enough  There's lots...

New Engine >>> Rebuild?

Hi all, I know this is sort of tech/mech, but quite a general question really. To get straight to the point, my van needs a new engine. Since I won't be doing it myself, the question is; is it really backwards to get a new engine put in without doing any bodywork (grille etc needs repairing, plus wh...

Wheel sizes

Am i right in thinking that 155 wheels are harder to come by than the 145's?

I'll need to aquire one in the not too distant future, since my spare will be used to replace the bent wheel at the back where someone has driven me into the pavement whilst I was parked.

Thanks for help, Tobias

My letter/cheque etc. was returned (very quickly though I might add) because apparently one now has to fill in the official form (V888); a letter DOES NOT do the trick...

This I am now doing so I hope it works. :) TH

So does this mean they're fairly expensive due to their rarity? What price range would you be looking at for a basket case splitty? TH

how about a splitty van to compliment your 1000 one? I didn't want to let it out in the rain - that was a pain as it meant my garage was out of action for car repairs when it was raining Which seems to be most of the time these days... :-? There is hope then; buy basket case - restore :D TH

I ran out the other day on a dual carriageway when I would say the guage was on 'almost empty'. Won't be trying it again anytime soon, although I now keep a little extra in the back just in case. 8) TH

Stone Guards...

Just wondering how easy it is to fit stone guards to the headlights? I'm guessing not too much trouble, or are they a bit fiddly like the peaks?

Also I assume any 7" ones will fit, ie Mini ones...?

Thanks, 8) TH
