who says coils never fail?
today I was coming back from dropping Charlotte off @ the bus stop, engine warm when i came to a sudden halt. @ first i thought it was petrol problem, looked @ fuel pump tested flow all good then dived into new carb, petrol in it and no blockages. Took spark plug out and no spark, as have fairly new...

Couple of weeks ago replaced all bushes on front end of our traveller with Poly ones now they creak, grunt and make many noises, nothing is loose and any worn metal parts were replaced!
Tried squirting WD40 into them but alas still noises!

Re: Engine Juddering 1098 Traveller!
Have carried out a compression test and all good.
Its the loss of power before this happens you can smell exhaust fumes it does this loss of power and juddering and you slow down smell more exhaust fumes and it clears only to start all over again if you go towards and over 50mph!
Thanks Marcus

Re: Engine Juddering 1098 Traveller!
yes good pump. carb piston seems good, no evidence of it sticking.
But what concerns me is the exhaust fume build up before and after it happens!

yep all torqued valves reset, tappets adjusted went like a rocket after all this, the fault seemed to have gone as could take him over 50 plus and no problem. Will take a look @ bmcecrosse's list in the morrow.
