Re: Flashing Trafficators
Ive done the same with another of my cars....the LED flashing bulbs were quite expensive though...I think I paid around £20 for a pair. At the time I modified my other car to flash without the special LED bulbs those flashing LED blubs were not around.

Re: Daisy finally arrives in Hong Kong
Should be a fun trip. Ive checked online and the vessel arrived in Valencia yesterday and the container was unloaded and placed onto another vessel due to arrive in Naples on Monday ( tomorrow ). I expect it will take 3 or 4 days for the cars to clear customs and be unloaded into the freight forward...

Daisy is off on holiday. I have just loaded her up into a container with a friends Frog Eye Sprite and they are both heading off to Naples, Italy. They will arrive around the 20th May and on the 29th May, Boss Lady and I ( and Keith and his lady boss ) will be meeting up in Naples to collect the car...

Re: LED Instrument Panel Lighting
Yes, these are warm white. The Warm White looks the same as an incandescent bulb although it is not quite as bright.....but I made up for that in the number of LED's fitted. The problem with regular white light LED's is the artificial brightness and whiteness of the light which makes the light look ...

Re: LED Instrument Panel Lighting
http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1388457437_6391 I've never seen a 'dual scale' speedo for early cars before. Where did it come from? The 'dual scale' was a DIY job. In Hong Kong, by law all cars must have the KPH markings as the road signs are in KPH. So what I did was use photoshop to produce a...

Re: LED Instrument Panel Lighting
Looks very good! I use similar LEDs for a F1 application. One recommendation learnt from experience though would be to paint over them with electrical conformal coat (clear varnish in effect, used for electrical insulating purposes). It will reduce the effects of any possible damp and condensation....

Re: LED Instrument Panel Lighting
Hi all. These LED's came from Shenzhen through Ebay and were here in Hong Kong the very next day by courier. I think If was ordering them again, I would order those with the Silicone coating as they will probably last longer with the high humidity we have here. Right now, Im searching for a long sha...

LED Instrument Panel Lighting
Went to change a bulb in the instrument panel the other day and found that the leathery bulb holder had broken....not bad after 61 years of service I suppose.. however I was unable to locate an exact replacement, so went online and bought some LED technology that works really well.....see these pics...
