Hi, when I get my spacers off Jonathon, whats the best way to ensure the lower suspension arm is in the right place when it comes to fitting them? I assume that when I re-fit the tie bar I tighten the nut each side of the two bushes without moving the lower suspension arm. Am I right in saying with ...

Hi Jonathon, I've love to have them off you please. I'd be more than happy to pay for postage. Price it up and let me know. I have your e-mail address off when we were talking about seat bases. I'll send you a mail so you can get in touch. Thankyou

Hi, when I changed my bushes I could swing the steering when the wheels were off the ground. It took minimal effort to do.
To be honest I haven't tried the steering on another minor to compare. Mine is probably ok, I'm just worried about the spacers.

Since owning the car I've noticed the steering to be a bit heavy. Could the lack of spacers improve this?

Lower suspension arm fork washer

Hi, some of you may remember I changed my front bushes recently, it went well. But I've noticed that there is no washer between the tie bar fork and the suspension arm, where to tie bar bolts on. My manual shows a washer but mine didn't have one on both sides. Are they needed? If I so what damage ha...

I was in maplins the other day and they had key switches in stock, some were double pole. they were about £3 each. I suppose this type of switch would give extra security as long as the terminals at the rear were hidden so the switch couldn't be bypassed.

Hi Yes, you could fit a switch on the 12v supply to the coil from the fusebox. I did this a few days ago to my friend;s Triumph Vitesse. I hid the switch behind the dashboard. It was easy to do and took about 10 mins.

hazard warning upgrade

Hi, I was thinking about doing the hazard warning light upgrade to my 1968 moggie. I'm an electrician so its easy to understand, but I'm wondering if anyone out there has done this upgrade and went with the seperate flasher unit route or followed the tip of the technical tips section.

Hi, I had the same problem too. I also bought a pair of TEX wiper arms direct from TEX. They are much better and the arm can pivot towards the window more compared to the other new arms you can get. Also they seem better made and there is a screw on the base so you can tighten the arm to the spline....

:-? If you have a dynamo, dont forget you need to change the "memory" of the field winding. Flash the [edit by Roger rust its the small terminal] terminal to earth using a wire. If you don't the dynamo won't charge.
