The spanners are metric.
I never really had a good look at the socket set as I wasn't buying it. I would think it would probably be AF and metric, I would doubt any whitworth.

Timing Light

Can anyone recommend a timing light?
I was looking at some second hand ones on on ebay and wasn't sure if much can go wrong with a second hand one apart from the bulb.

Would it be best buying new?

They don't come with any instructions or anything other than the screens. I phoned them and they said that there were so many different ways of wiring them up and types of switches that they don't supply any electrical parts with them.

Thanks for the colours BMC.

Anyone any diagrams?

I've already fitted an alternator.
The current for them is rated at 13.5A and the other is 8.5A.

I bought a windscreen from them and it arrived broken. I have to send them a photo of it and I can't get into their website to get their email address. Would someone mind trying the site for me to see if it is working. Does anyone have their email address? http://www.morrisminorspares.net/ http://ww...

Thanks for all the advice guys. I managed to find the original connector above the dash - I had been looking too far over. It is now all back together and working.
What a difference a new matrix has made, I also changed the stat to 88 and blocked up the fresh air intake - nice and toasty.

It is a black wire, the green wire coming from the switch is connected to earth via the mounting bracket. I have tried two connectors above already. I'll try and have a look in the morning for a another bullet connector.

Heater wiring

I have just replaced the heater core and the feed wire to the motor came off - not at the spade end to the motor but the other end of this wire i.e a bullet connector behind the dash. I can't find where it goes back into. I have tried two connectors and they seem to be dead even when I swithch on th...

Clutch squeel

I started getting a stange noise first thing in the morning and I thought it was the relase bearing squeeling. It was intermittent and disappeared quite quickly and was only there while I was releasing the clutch pedal. On my way home tonight I am now getting a simlilar noise after I relase the clut...

Distributor removal

I want to remove the distributor without disturbing the timing. How do you get to the clamp plate bolt at the back of it? The front one is awkward enough. Any suggestions? :D

Heated rear screen

I use my moggy everyday and I am thinking about fitting a heated rear screen. Has anyone bought one recently and fitted it? Where do the wires come out? :D
