yayyyy moggy finally passed MOT

After much, cursing, knuckle rashes and big hits with brake adjusting spanner 5lb, they now work as well as they are suposed to.

have had the missus press down on the footbrake no movement, there is movement wen the h/brake is applied and it releases ok, is it worth trying to re-bleed the system or just order a rear cylinder?

ps, i think the rear cylinder could be seized up as well

ok have taken the wheel off, there apears to be some fluid leaking from the hub :cry: but just from 1 of the studs, could this really be causing a complete failure? modern technology is brilliant, from the pics below, the brake shoes look good, and u can see the offending stud, how can i remedy this...

Finally got the engine out and "popped" the pistons, all look good. Does anyone know the size of the nut that holds the crankshaft pully on and which way it should turn? have tried using a pair of pipe grippers as the spanners I have only go up to 1" or 22mm but no joy. thanks again f...

There should be a notch on the pully wheel that when ligned up with the timing marks should have No 1 Cylinder at TDC, paint some white paint on the mark on the pully and start the engine. take the cam out the old 1098 engine and swap it into the 948 (it's a much better cam) and the 1098 head is far better too - but it would need skimming by 60 thou before using on the 948 - but this could be easily swapped over later.
