where are the body numbers on the cars

yes they have both been robbed! seems a bit strange as the saloon is in pretty good nick although it is only a shell.

i have two minors they are both split screens one being a convertible and the other a two door saloon, i have no paperwork at all for either of them and i do not know the registration of them.The saloon chassis number is302450 and the convertible398040. Is there anyway i can find the original number...

can anyone tell me where the numbers might be stamped on a morris minor i presume they have one other than on the alloy vin plate.

i have what i think is the roughest splitscreen convertible, no numberplates or vin plate, is the chassis number stamped in the frame anywhere? bear in mind this car is so rotten. If i have no numbers on it am i stuffed or can i identify any other way. Bought it 18 months ago and only just got round...
