I did take the pin out then threaded the trunnion on as far as the recess in the leg then put the pin back through. Finally fixed my carb problem so thanks to all those who provided advice. The cup full of fuel did the trick and seemed to coax it into life. Car now starts and runs pretty well. More power to the messageboard experts I say.
