Might be worth doing this as the car has sat for for a while. Also might be worth draining the fuel tank and replacing with new fuel as it doesnt take long for the petrol to go off. I am currently restoring a car which has sat for 10 years so its a case of unseasing lots of components . I find its t...

Hi Bretta, Once you have got the brake drum off remove the brake shoes making a note of which holes the brake shoe springs are located. Then i would inspect the wheel cylinders for any signs of brake fluid , even if there is the slightest trace i would replace then i would try to move each piston . ...

Hi Bretta, Sounds like a sticking wheel cylinder to me. You will need to take the front brake drum off to inspect but slacken off the brake adjusters first. If you are not mechanically minded it might be worth getting someone who is. Im not that far from you.

What a saloon or your traveller? From the chassis number it is around the last 7000 made so was sitting around somewhere for even more time than first thought. They must have really struggled to sell the last cars.

I find it easier to take the distributor out. Less chance of losing a nut or screw.

[quote="mike.perry"]I wonder why it was not registered before that. When was it built? I assume Mike it must have stood around a dealership for quite a while and probably sold for alot less than list price. By 1971 a new Morris Minor was probably not on many customers shopping list. Does t...
