rythmic noise
seems to be coming from the front end- drives ok and cant feel any vibrations to speak of ! heres the list done so far new gearbox and clutch last year- all been fine- checked the steady wire while on ramps the other day and isn't too tight prop shaft UJ's replaced and a load of underseal taken off ...

Thanks for the tips so far guys. One thing i didn't mention was that if you turn the hubs by hand the propshaft turns some of the time then it feels like it loses grip and the prop doesn't turn if you know what i mean.. so the halfshaft that won't come out may still be in one piece just with knacker...

my traveller came home on the back of a tow truck this afternoon... Was changing gear at a roundabout and there was a donk and lost drive. Checked the forums and propshaft is turning happily when ticking over in first gear so guessed diff or halfshafts. Got the car on axle stands and removed one of ...

timing settings
Just wondered if anyone could tell me what the timing should be set at for a 1098 low compression engine with an new unleaded head..
Also had to enrich the mixture to get her running nicely after the head change- is this normal?

strange coil problem...
Had a wierd one today, about a week ago my traveller died and it turned out to be the coil- got a replacement and everything was fine for about a week, then today it died again- turns over ok, fuel etc ok. so tried the old coil just sitting on top of the coil that was bolted to the dynamo- started f...
