Would minor front drums be 8" inside dia. ?

Someone has suggested they might be Minor front brakes shoes, with a rod operated backplate mechanism. Its new shoes I need.

The drum is 8" dia inside. The shoos are rod operated. Currently fitted to a trailer.

Can someone advise what thread the studs are to fit these trims to the front panel.

Silver solder will be fine. Its possible that epoxy araldite will work but im not sure if its compatible with ethanol. The same caution applies to soft soldering.

What padded trim goes along the edge of the parcel shelf on a 64 minus saloon. Can you show me some pictures please.

Also what colour speedo should it have bronze face (80) or black face (90 mph).

Thanks. A friend of mine has probably one of the few and most original 1961 GPO telephone engineers mini vans but it would be interesting to see any published articles about them. Especially in colour.

Apparently last year a UK newspaper (poss the Telegraph) had an article about GPO vans in its glossy magazine.

So presumably this would be a Saturday or Sunday issue.

I thought there was a law somewhere in Europe (Germany? ) that you had to be able to change bulbs at the road side.

I always use batteries with cell caps so I can monitor water levels.

I reckon leaving the smart charger connected permanently "boil" water off more than when not connected.

So I charge every fortnight, leaving the charger on until the lights say its full - probably a day or so.
