My car is 1969. My wipers park right on the rubber at the bottom of the screen and almost hit the rubber on the side of the screen when working. In other words the sweep arc is as wide as it can be.

something's definitely up as i get half this rubber to rubber sweep :-(

Re: Wiper sweep

before i take anything apert first i might do the simple thing of taking arms off and rotating a spline or 2 anticlockwise.

Or just not take it out in the rain :-)

Re: Hi

Only via a Heritage certificate from the BMIHT This will have the original details on including original VRM and car / chassis numbers. A photo of the car would help as grey was a broad term for BMC eg Smoke Grey looks light blue. It could also have been repainted. Or you can ask, for free, the DVL...

Wiper sweep

Hi Is it normal for wipers (in UK) to complete their sweep vertically? drove in rain for the first time at the weekend and the area of sweep, at least on the drivers side, seemed inadequate. Wiper stop just over centre leaving a lot of the drivers view still wet. At rest wipers sit on the screen jus...

P700 headlights

I do like to look of the tripod P700 lights. But only seem to see them with integral side lights. Do they come without or do you just stick a blanking grommet in the hole?

Thanks

BYL 463B (or 9052 PE) Traveller

Morning OK lets give this a go. Anyone know anything about my traveller BYL 463B. I understand it was white when bought new in Orpington in '64, then blue in '78 whilst spending a lot of its time in Norwich. Then white again in '83 and now Bermuda Blue. Last change of colour was in '2001 when it mov...

Re: Bermuda Blue Touch-up Paint

The problem is that there isn't really a correct shade as you have found, as the shades change due the the modern paints and the mix ratios that make up the colour. The best thing to do is take a sample of the colour you have from the car to a paint supplier and get them to create that shade for yo...
