Small oil leak

I have noticed a small oil leak on inspection it looks like the drain plug from the gearbox, it’s tiny about the size of a tangerine I’ve tightened the plug slightly but I’m cautious in case it sheers off , Should I just leave it and keep an eye on it or grasp the nettle and tackle it full on? I’ve ...

Rust spots on sill

I’ve noticed a couple of small rust spots on the N/S sill it’s what I would call surface rust, my moggy is kept in a dry garage,

Door alignment

I’ve noticed my D/S door is slightly out of alignment, is this just a matter of loosening off the door hinge to realign?

Re: Mechanic Charges of £1500, reasonable or unreasonable?

A similar thing happened to me, in relation to work that was not agreed or authorised I would question that and if not have it written off certainly a big reduction at least, the other option is have a reputable mechanic do a report on the work and cost, If a mechanic finds additional work which doe...

I am in the process of fitting a hood cover in the fasteners kit is a ‘lift dot’ top&flat plate to fix the hood to the side of the car, The fasteners for the hood at the moment have the normal stud fasteners, Do I really need to use the lift a dot fasteners or will the normal stud version suffic...

Re: Buying a Morris Minor for the first time

Your other option is if your a member of AA or RAC they offer a vehicle inspection service and supply a report for you,
When I bought mine it was located a long way from home but I made a day of it and went by train it was worth it to view the car in person

Cleaning cooling system hack

I’m not sure if someone is pulling my leg but I’ve been told if you want to clean out your cooling system effectively drop a dishwasher tablet in the radiator and run the engine until hot this will clean the system thoroughly,
Anyone else tried this?
