Not so easy had to drop car on to 2” timbers to get the room and take out 2 windows to fit fans for extraction of fumes. But overall I’m very happy and bought the more expensive hard wearing paint so should be good for lot more years.
Took 2 weeks stripping and prepping.
Thanks.

Re: Gearchanging
Something I found strange regards to gear changing in earlier stick version of bmw / Mercedes automatics
You push lever forward to go back and pull back to select forward. Strange way they done them. They have learnt now in the ones with lever at the steering column forward for forward etc.

Got paint on 2 k old English White. Plenty good primer and good top coats inside and out , to be mopped yet as bit of dust and had to remove 3 wasps and jet a drop of high paint in so I can polish back. Happy enough though inside and out ,lot of tidying up to do and get rest of exterior back on. New...

Then they bath in there big water bowl. Love the oops I typed a naughty word and wrens. We have too many spar...

Can I fit smaller steering wheel to 69 minor 1098 with Lucas horn type
Anyone know what smaller steering wheel I could fit to my traveller 1969 1098 cc with Lucas horn. It’s not for show it’s so I can get in out easier, don’t want anything too expensive if possible as will be keeping original. ( to go back on if ever parting so it’s original) Any pointers as to what wo...

Re: Do oversize door pins work well
Walking around checking car is ready to paint discovered the son in law had driven my oversize top door pin in from bottom fair but he had just barely caught the top ring of hinge , you will know it’s almost impossible to drive pin up once door is fitted. Bolts and all were all good and 1/2 the head...

Re: Changing colour. My traveller is white as on old green log book I am almost ready for

Re: door adjustment
Mine is a 69 model but perhaps yours is different but there’s movement in my hinges all around. If yours has backing plate inside door pillar and door frame there are a pain to get bolts in and some people spot weld the plates into place so that leaves really no adjustment. When I take my bolts from...
