8 with holes in tied up with string.!

Inevitably I suppose after replacing the water valve on back of cylinder head I dropped one of the mounting nuts. Its not on the engine and not on the large piece of cardboard underneath. Its in the gravel! Anyone know what thread it is please?

My Traveller is having a recon engine fitted as soon as I get it home I ll put a few neodymium magnets on it. That should keep any particles on it at first oil change and subsequent ones.

Its underseal and waxoyl. The previous owner was proud to say. Painted first. I have uncovered a few patches where the metal is just starting to colour with rust. Sprayed thin Dinitrol on it and will go over it with hard black Dinitrol .

I was lucky. My Traveller was bought from a very meticulous chap who restored it well- with lots of waxoyl/underseal underneath. I am now going round ,I hiped , every square inch down to the paint underneath. Unfirtunately so much hard waxoyl and thick underseal I cant shift either. The underseal is...

Yes Bill. Pump to carb. Hadnt thought of re routing it. That should cure it.thanks very much

Fitted a home made shield which helped but not stopped the problem. Think a fan directed at the fuel pipe/carb base is best solution. Would a Spal 132mm fan likely be suitable please.

Had nt thought of the 3 screws and rotating the mirror . I did get the original one on the window upright by removing all the sticky padfing in it and screwing it onto the chrome frame. Works ok but very light small mirror.

Ha haaa! Going to give up on that then. Swap the triangle chrome bits so the holes I drilled are inside! Put the 'clip on' one back on.
The van mirrors seem to be the way

Bought a pair of rear view mirrors from ESM to find left side mirror cant be adjusted to see anything . Nothing. Its the ones which fit into the triangular chrome bits in front of opening vent. Spent hours fiddling with it and holes in top of chrome surround still 1/2 inch away from holes in bracket...

Actualy its unleaded carburettor. I think there is something in the carb which might not like unleaded fuel and need changing.

Someone reccomended mr Wynns Substi Plomb! As a.fuel additive in my 1098. He uses it in a Marina. Should work out lot cheaper than E5 now I m doing some mileage.
Is that a particlarly good one one please or what do you recommend.?

I had Toyos fitted to my Traveller 2 years ago when I bought it. Now I m finally getting some mileage in I ve decided they are not very good! Its not handling I m worried about but roadholding. On quite moderate slow bends in warm weather the back tyres squeal very easily. Cant imagine what it would...
