Fuel gauge issues
Can anyone advise me please. I've been trying to problem solve. I've looked through the threads and didn't see the answer I wanted. Problem: my fuel gauge skips from 1/4 to full. When I fill up. After a while of driving it reduces from full to 1/4. Missing the middle bit. I've took out the sender an...

Re: Headlights rain deflector
Thanks for your feedback.
Going to re checked the bowl / headlamp sizes.
The photos of how they should fit are exactly how I'd like them.

Re: Headlights rain deflector
You're probably correct. I ain't no time served mechanic.
This is one of the few things I haven't been able to solve considering all the work I've carried out on my moggy. So for now this is my plan B.

Headlights rain deflector
Just an idea for rain deflection. I haven't been able to fix my headlights flush with the front wing body. Maybe they don't fit flush I'm not sure, certainly not happy with the 4mm gap. I had bought a piece of rubber tubing cut it to size and added a bit of colour too. This sits between the chrome r...

Re: Quarter light frame to door seal/ rubbers
Hello Phil
I did look through the threads but didn't see what I needed rather than wasting peoples time on answering.
I think I can make an alternative.
Very informative reply.
Thankyou

Re: Quarter light frame to door seal/ rubbers
Hello Maria.
I haven't tried ESM.
Will give them ago. Trying to explain the little curvy seal is going to be a challenge in its self.
Thankyou.

Re: Quarter light frame to door seal/ rubbers
Hello Stephen
Yes I did look at that diagram. It doesn't show that particular seal.
I think I can make one, will try anyway.

Quarter light frame to door seal/ rubbers
I'm trying to find a ' curvy' seal that sits between the door and quarter light frame edge. I've spent hours trying to find the part but with no success. ( I'm having the doors spray painted and think it's a good time to replace the seals/ rubbers) while the window frame is out of the door. Here's a...

Traveller rear mud flaps.
Was thinking how to redirect rain water from slashing up against the underside of the timber frame. The obvious solution would be mud flaps, but there's no where to fix them. So I made two pieces from 2mm galv then fixed the mud guards onto them. My concern was the MOT inspection. My ' brackets' wer...

Re: A hole in the gearbox :(
Thankyou for that.
I need some 3 in 1 oil, aching all over.
(I was sulking for only about twenty minutes when I realised I needed to get the gear box back out again ! But got over it and got on with it. )

A hole in the gearbox :(
Rescued by the AA for the first time ever. They They came in 30 minutes. A piece flew off from the pressure plate and made a hole in the gearbox casing. The broken piece rested in the starter casing. So the starter couldn't extend to reach the flywheel to start. After removing the GBox I thought I d...

Re: Ethonal conversion.
Hello Stephen
Thankyou for that.
I am about to change my fuel pump bits tomorrow.
Will look and order carb and order replacement float etc too.
I think that will cover it all, conversion done! I hope !

Ethonal conversion.
I been looking the threads to see if there's a list of things I need to do to change my moggy to ethonal e10. I done the obvious like changing the fuel pipe. I'd like to know what else I need to change to accommodate e10. So is there a ' list ' of things to do.? Or could someone direct me to the thr...

Re: Oil pressure reading too high?
The problem was an incorrect reading of the oil gauge on my dash. The needle would NOT got to zero when ignition off. Should have noticed that the needle it was pointing at 40 before bothering you guys.
So I've replaced it today and all is good.

Re: Oil pressure reading too high?
It's been pointed the oil pressure valve is the 2nd photo ive attached. The original photo is the water temp one this will explain a lot. ! A member has suggested to ignore the gauge and check the actual pressure. Surely it's the for the very reason to read. And to get the actual pressure reading. I...

Oil pressure reading too high?
The oil pressure gauge reads 60 on tick over then raises to nearly 90 when travelling. There's no performance issues that is obvious to me. Is the reading acceptable on my 1961 948cc traveller. Done so much work on my moggy and it's nearly all done. Think it's time to change the oil pressure valve (...
