Hi, Phil and Stephen, thanks for your knowledge and experience. I have ordered a longer stud from ESM but for now will give the van a run out tomorrow and check performance. Many thanks John.
The photo was a great help.

Engine steady
Hi everyone, just fitted an engine steady on my 63 van , however I had to leave the washer out on the stud so as to leave enough thread to secure the bracket. Is this acceptable and water tight? I have posted two photos one with washer and one with out.
Would appreciate any advice, help. John.

Re: Smiths round heater problem.
Thank you for your help, especially the exploded view on body service parts list.
Yes, you are right, I will have to take the unit out to get at the motor, was hoping it might just be the rheostat.

Hi everyone, trying to get the cover off my smiths round heater , whilst in the van. The fan doesn’t seem to be working. I have a replacement rheostat but not sure how to get the cover off. Any ideas? Thanks.

Lining up van doors.
Hi everyone, I have a 1963 Morris van. The left rear door is lower than the right. I have tried undoing the bolts that secure the doors to the body but this makes no difference.
