Thanks for all the replies I’m daily driving it at the moment so am not to worried about fuel sitting there rotting components but if it ever becomes a second car then I’ll switch over to an additive. Running on e5 at the moment.

Thanks all for your help, I tried Footman James but they weren’t able to give me any accumulating no claim bonus so i went with sterling third party fire and theft which was cheaper and gets me NCB. All in £1150 which is pretty good compared to my friend’s insurance!

Ok thanks for all these responses I’ll run it on E5 as it’s not too much more. I’m still deciding about lead substitute while my current supply runs out!

Hi I’ve just bought a morris minor as a first car and can’t decide what to run it on as there are a lot of conflicting opinions on this forum. Will e10 with and an additive be alright until it needs an unleaded head conversion or does it really need e5? Any help appreciated.

Ok thanks for your replies, I’ll try adding my mum and grandad with clean records to try and reduce it!

I've just purchased a Morris Minor and am trying to get insured through the footman james scheme. The quote I got is higher than expected, has anyone done anything to get it down?
