Re: LED Indicator help

Well. Finally got the LED indicators sorted with the addition of the correct flasher unit. (Thanks Classic LED). So, to the Aforementioned 70's Unipart Hazards, which were on the car when I got it and worked well. They don't now. I removed the integral Lucas 12fl flasher can, and ordered the correct...

Re: Gear Lever Gaiter.

Have a look on good old flebay under "universal gear gaiter" there's a huge selection on there. The other option could be look at the gaiter on a modern car to see the base dimension of the leather as you might be able to find something that will work, again flebay has thousands of vehicl...

Last Christmas

Had time this week so finally got to install my Christmas presents from my wife. Duplex timing kit, Alternator Kit and Accupark dizzy now in place. Replaced both heater hoses and valve at the same time. Runs better than ever, and managed to get emissions down to 1.5, so significant improvement. Hopi...

Re: Diff Plug Tool

I have an original Draper No1 tool, but 3/8 drive end works well. Additional bonus drain plug tip - If you come up against the large slot type of drain plug somewhere, end of tyre lever and pair of stilsons are your friend!

Timing Marks at the top

Just changing to a Duplex set up, struck me to slap a set of timing marks at the top. Anyone care to share their preferred approach if they have done it? Regards, Chris

Re: How many of you can weld, and how did you learn?

As a bodyshop apprentice, learned very early on. Not at a bench, but in all attitudes, anyone can weld at a bench, said the late great Arno Praeger, my first bodyshop foreman. He'd welded on board a u-boat, so he should know! Anyway, always preferred Gas (still do) because thats what I learned, but ...
