Re: Cruising Speeds 1098cc Motorways etc
I fitted a 3.7 diff to my warmed up 1098 Moggy (on a rolling road, 54hp at the wheels!) and it does make for more relaxed cruising. Pulling away at junctions etc is not a problem, but where I could often easily pull away in 2nd gear when I had the 4.22 diff, 1st gear is now needed more. I used this...

Re: Is there a van/6cwt manual
Late Vans were Negative earth from new. Including the Late H, J and K reg GPO Vans . Hello GLRVAN, That's a very interesting statement, as a first post, from someone who apparently has been lurking around the Forums 10 years ago. On what basis do you say that, I've never seen anything mentioned of ...

Re: Help what fuel to run?
Lived through the changes to unleaded and up to the present. I've always run BL motors, and have never done anything to an engine, or used any additives. Never had a problem. Used unleaded ok, now run E5 with no problems

Re: Negative Earth.
You try finding one! More chance of seeing Elvis riding a Unicorn down your street. Actually went for a polarity switchable 8 Track, but it just blew fuses. Gave up and changed! My bar is as it came and definitely not original, has a strip of wood underneath (hence self tappers) to help it maintain ...

Finally gave in and changed! Can fit a period radio cassette now. There's so many stories/doubts/myths around this, and a dearth of info if you want to keep a dynamo, so simply - Disconnect smaller F terminal from back of dynamo. Disconnect and reverse battery ( I needed a new positive terminal) Rec...

Easter Monday Outing.
Took the Traveller to The Great British Car Journey at Ambergate for their Classic Meet. Was well attended and supported, despite showers. Eclectic mix of motors, only one other four door Minor there. Good trip there and back over the Pennines, ran well. Alice pictured here with some random passer b...

Alice the Traveller has (by previous owner (P) and me (M)) : Heated Rear Windows (P) Hazards (P) Retro 8 Track (M) Inertia Reels in Blue (M) Ashtrays converted into Cup Holders (M) Electric Screen Wash (M) Not a lot really. Still trying to work out in the DeLuxe what the first owner actually got for...

Re: Authentic Stickers
Had excellent service from Isaydingdong (Pru is really helpful). They recreated stickers from my later father's dealership for me. Give then a try! Also, I'd had repro stuff like this before direct from Moss, unsure if they do the actual one you want, take a look.

I was going to say online insurance. I'd beef up my security or keep it somewhere else for the next week or so. Overreaction in order here I think!

About 12 years ago, saw a RHD British reg (no idea what) in regular use around the town of Heviz, Hungary. Often wondered if it is still there

Old AA boxes.
Today at Mere, Knutsford Cheshire. Now on a quiet bypassed road, previously, before motorways, on the main road to North Wales and a hugely busy A556/A50 junction. I remember this being manned, if i also remember correctly, there was a wooden hut next door that was a membership advice/enrolment cent...

On the Road!
One month to the day after a cagey 70 mile drive home in an untested motor that had been off the road 7 years, Alice has hit the road this morning! Although she didn't miss a beat in the relocation drive, and despite being well looked after by the previous MMOC owner, it was obvious all was not well...

There appear to be two covers - one illustrated with a Splitscreen, the other a Single screen. I take it they are different editions, but is there any essential difference in the text?

Courtesy of my dear Wife. When purchasing /displaying a period tax disc, they come printed on a flat piece of card. Rather than cutting around it with scissors, perforate around the edge with a pin for a more authentic original finish.
