The oilways in the pillar and head line up and are clear, the rocker shaft is free of blockages, the correct gasket was used and was fitted correctly and does block the oil way in the block which corresponds with the head. Took the rocker cover off today as I wanted to retorque the head and with the cover off easier to get to the heater valve. The alloy horn push will not fit as the spring is in the way, there are also two wires on the back of the horn push with no instructions it's not clear as to what to do.

The horn push in the centre of the wheel operates the horn, but the replacement horn push will not fit because of the spring. Any ideas ?

Thank you for your help, I will try the thermostat, just need to get a new gasket. Failing that the water pump does seam the next logical step.
