I shall change to a non vented filler cap and inspect the tappet cover pipe and clean as necessary.
Do you think that would be adequate or should I try to replicate the later system.
If anyone has a photo of what this looks like, I would be grateful.

I’m in the process of restoring a 1962 4 door. It has Spax telescopic dampers all round, the back ones are shot. I’d like to revert to lever arms but can’t justify the cost of buying a pair outright.
