Wanted Front Seats for 1966 morris 1000
Can't help with the seats, but engine & gearbox both use 20/50 multigrade. I use cheap Comma Motorway 20/50 and change it each year, but more expensive brands are available.

I don't see a location in your postside profile, but if you are near Manchester you are welcome to pop round for a quick tutorial.

I feel your pain and sympathise - but- You are ignoring Rule No. 1 of the classic car rabbit hole you have plunged down - you will never make a profit if you pay for work done. You would do well to accept that financial damage limitation is the best that you can hope for. If you can bring yourself t...

I like the sound of this.
I can see how a restoration would be therapeutic for the OP just now.
I remember having ambitions, plans, and dreams. It was good.

Re: Parcel shelf
Thanks again Stephen.
I am now looking at constructing a modified shelf with a more crushable transverse bar and a fibreboard template that would be a plug and go fit without having to disturb any pipes or ducts.
Wish me luck!

Re: Parcel shelf
Parcel shelf expert wanted. That doesn't seem to have the right number of cutouts/hose holes for my 1969 2-door saloon.
Would any expert care to comment?
Thanks to Moggieshedfull for his helpful engagement on this. His post is a direct response to my wtb.

Fitting a 3.9 diff to a 1969 2-door Minor
A question for those who have been there and done that. I have acquired from a reputable source a 3.9 diff that is said to be perfectly useable with maybe the only issue being with the pinion oil seal. My plan is to just fit it and see how things go; in the belief that should the seal need replaced ...

Re: Virtually all electrical system gone.....!
Check the input and output at the ignition switch to make sure the switch itself hasn't failed - they do sometimes. Also ensure that the battery terminals are clean and tight. If the starter motor is working normally, the battery terminals will be secure and the battery is demonstrated as adequatel...
