Re: Diff oil
If its a small amount to top up then mixing isn't an issue but for the sake of a litre and peace of mind as you say Change it and keep what comes out for oiling the rusty gate hinges

Re: Morris Minor Pickup 1965 not starting
So had they given you the wrong key?
Old cars don't always have the same key for ignition and doors, as locks get changed over the years. My ignition key also fits my boot lock but not the drivers door.
I put a notch in the ignition key head so easy to identify.
Glad you have hot it sorted

Re: Diff oil
Unfortunately Les if its not in its original marked container I don't think you can as its only the additives. Unless we have an oil industry expert who will put me right :) To quote from a manufacturer The main difference between GL-4 and GL-5 gear oils is in the level of extreme-pressure (EP) addi...

Re: Fuel gauge reading half-full when empty
You don't remove the screws, simply slacken as the speedo brackets are slotted. I have had mine out and back several time and I don't even retighten the screw , just have them loose enough to slide the speedo back in. We'll worth modifications to you liners.
Good luck with it

Re: Fuel gauge reading half-full when empty
Unless it's different on a 69 why do you have to remove glove box and steering wheel to take out speedo?
Don't you have the hole in the glove box liner so you can slack the screws and pull out the speedo.

Re: electric fuel pump?
I wonder if it another case of poor quality replica parts. Mine looks the same type although invoice say genuine SU fuel pipe fitted in 2021, I will keep an eye on it. Only use E5 so not as much % of the dreaded ethanol , have just fitted viton needle valve as a preventative measure. 20240323_125936...

Re: Brakes - symptom
Have you tried bleeding with the engine running, so the servo is pushing the fluid rather than it just passing through unassisted. You could try pumping the peddle and holding the pressure then cracking the banjo bolt you referred to, re-tighten before releasing pedal. Sometimes jacking the rear as ...

Re: Brakes - symptom
Are you on drum brakes or discs, are your drum brakes adjusted ? 1st pump could be taking up shoe to drum clearance, obviously discs are self adjusting. Fluid should pass through the servo and not effect bleeding unless servo is incorrectly mounted and you have an air bubble. As stated in other repl...

Re: Any mathematicians on here?
Yes it's the numbers, which appear to be fed into the last equation on page 69. So far as I know, p, placed in front of the square bracket, means that the contents of the bracket are multiplied by p. Within the square bracket, the figures in the regular brackets are worked out , multiplied by 1 /E1...

Unplug the electronic ignition to coil wire and see if light goes out, as stated sounds like incorrect wiring .

Re: Any mathematicians on here?
I just can't make out where they got the figures from, to make the calculation :-? . As I explained: 0.002 ÷ 2 = 0.001 900 ÷ 122 = 7.377 0.001 x 7.377 = 0.007377 Multiply by 10 to power of six 1000000 = 7377 they have rounded to 7400 That's as close as I get Or do you mean where those numbers come ...

Re: S L O W
This appears to be a network issue with the IONOS host. You will have seen the announcement that they are migrating us to a new platform, and I think that the amount of traffic that move is generating, coupled with some configuration changes to their routers, is causing the slowness problem. I am i...

Re: electric fuel pump?
Tapping the fuel pump did the trick, hoping it might continue to work ok now. Thanks very much for the input :tu1: Hopefully just stuck with standing but we'll worth taking the end cap off and cleaning points as advised by others. Removing the earth connections and giving them a clean is worthwhile...
