Re: electric fuel pump?
If standard the pump is under the bonnet, passenger side on side of battery compartment. It has no fuse with ignition on 12v to terminal and make sure earth is ok. With ignition on give it a tap and see if it starts clicking, it has points that maybe stuck. Mine is electronic type as it says on labe...

Or here is the T into original switch position, not as accessible maybe, although my vacuum advance position doesn't help but it could be repositioned.

Re: Hub identification disc brakes
Nearside checked, only one washer so the left hand threaded nut was tightening on end of thread but still had bearing play.with two washer fitted, same as off side, the taper bearing now adjusts normally. It was this that made it feel like parallel bearing, as fully tightened nut did not adjust the ...

Re: Mirrors
Some cars if you left indicator switch in either left or right and switched off the ignition the front and rear side light illuminated on one side only. Marking parked car without having 4 lights draining battery. I believe parking lights were required on unlit Road.

Re: Hub identification disc brakes
Thanks Phil the castellated Marina locking ring is what I have but fitted over a castellated nut that has possibly been ground down to give the right depth for the locking ring to align with split pin hole in stub. At least I now know I have minor stub axles, in the winter I will pull a hub of compl...

Drilled through chrome triangle in front of quarter light, it's still useable. Could do with passenger side having slightly longer arm, it's fine driving but would benefit when reversing to see back wheel.

Re: Knocking from engine on medium revs.
I will try to post a video. This morning I took car for a short run to warm up. Rattle noice still there. It seems to be within a fairly narrow mid rev range. I can get rid of it by modifying speed and / or changing gear. With the engine warm I pulled off each plug lead in turn and reved the engine...

Re: Knocking from engine on medium revs.
Perhaps post a youtube video so we can listen very difficult from a description. Have you tried pulling a plug lead off and try with each cylinder not firing in turn to see if one makes any difference? No harm to rev up on 3 cylinders :tu1: Does crank pully seem secure as you mentioned you thought d...
