Why not and what is your alternative?

I am looking to fit a temperature gauge to my 918 MM engine and the obvious place to fit the sender is the plug for the heater tap on the cylinder head, as my car does not have a heater. Does anyone know what the thread size is and where I can get an adaptor? Is it the same size as the A Series ones?

Do you have a pair of alloy rear lamp bases? Mine have a screw sheared off and two wood screws which have ruined the threads.

Compression test showed the following:
1; 112 psi
2: 118 psi
3: 120 psi
4: 117 psi

Yes, I have done that with my other Minor. I am looking for the easy and cheap fixes first and working up from there. New springs ( if the problem) are a lot cheaper than a rebuild at Distributor Doctor.

Yes, it is unmolested and only been in 2 families from new. My godfather bought it in 1983 and passed it over to me last year as he is 85 and it needed a new driver to take it out for exercise. I am slowly working my way around it to see what is what!

Thanks. Yes that seems to be the conventional fitting, either drilled into the side of the sill with one bolt or bolted underneath with two bolts. I am after a bracket that raises it, so the belt comes down over the shoulder from a slightly higher point, as in my original photos.
