On the subject of magnts

I found old PC hard drive magnets are extremely strong!

Used a couple zip tied to the outside of the disco oil filter for years

They will hold each other through a 2 inch counter top.
Even off road.

As for inspection lamps, I have a couple

For work I have a ring RIL8100 from Halford. £21, or less if you have access to a trade card and does work while on charge

One at home is a Phillips one but that was nearer the 60 quid mark

I've had led bulbs from these guys

Good on price with decent delivery times as well

As you have changed the ignition switch I'd start looking at the area behind the Speedo, as this is where it's more likely to have moved any wiring.
