It has six fixing holes but cant find if is fitted in the correct orientaion - my wire exits to the front of the car. Dont want to risk taking it apart during the driving season, just in case. ...

This should be a video of the tapping whilst the rear of the car is gently shaken side to side
I can feel what seems like the float tapping the top surface of the metal tank

Odd noise from rear
I have successfully tracked down and cured many rattles on my 1964 Minor 1000 but whats left is an annoying little tapping from the rear. Its mainly over bumps but occassionally just taps when it feels like it! With me shaking the car about in the garage and my wife with her head in the boot we have...

Re: Advice needed on selling price
Thanks for that additional advice. I had noticed when taking photos that the seats were different to most that I see in pictures, but I am pleased to see they are genuine Moggy seats. These seats were freed up by the installation of Newton commercial front seats. The rear seat is still in situ and ...

Advice needed on selling price
I have these two Moggy seats for sale and have no idea what price I should set.
Any advice would be welcome.
They are vinyl and there are no tears or holes or wear.

Hi Donald
Did you buy the EcoAir DD1 Classic MK5 Blue. Its a bit unclear if you can set your own humidity at which it goes to sleep. Can you advise.

Re: Anti Rust Products
Did you manage to reduce your 98% RH a bit? I am hoping that once i have the new dehumidifier i will be nearer the 70% mark almost all the time and once the floor is done i aim for something in the region of 55-65%RH. We will see. My internal humidity tracks fairly close to the external humidity bu...

Re: Anti Rust Products
Out of interest we've had a fair bit of rain overnight in Herts. Outside its about 4 degC and 90%RH. This type of humidity is perfectly normal in damp winter conditions In the garage its also 4degC but 98%RH, which is not so good. Thankfully there is no condensation on the car. But, I have taken my ...

Re: Anti Rust Products
Sounds like you've got some pretty challenging conditions - are you in Scotland? I think you are going in the right direction with the dehumidifier and flooring. For the ultimate you could try building a little retractable tent over the Moggy using something like sturdy polythene sheeting from Wicke...

Re: Anti Rust Products
Possible ways to avoid condensation on our Moggys in the garage Some of these have been captured by other posters in this thread. Lots of fresh air If all surfaces are at the same temperature, and all surrounding air is at the same %RH, its scientifically unlikely that condensation will occur, so a...

Relative Humidity the science At a given temperature air is capable of holding airborne water vapour. If the air is perfectly dry then this is defined as having 0%RH (zero % relative humidity) and if the air is saturated with water vapour it is on the point of condensation and is at the opposite en...

"it came freshly painted with underseal but I am not a big fan of it as it tends to flake and rusts under it." The term underseal tends to cover a wide range of products. I prefer to categorise them as skin forming and non skin forming. Any skin forming product, when damaged, will allow wa...

Hi Donald
Glad some of this stuff is useful. Its just me rambling, but if it helps just one other person then its worth it. Just off to watch a bit of football then later may tackle the challenge of explaining Percentage Relative Humidity (RH)

Salt is the enemy In the UK our thoughtful Local Councils broadcast salt liberally over most of our main roads. This is bad for the underside of our cars on two counts. Re: Anti Rust Products
Some more ramblings. There is a great temptation to wrap up the moggy nice and warm in the garage, but please be careful what you use. Many car covers are intended for outdoor use and rightly are impervious to moisture. If you use them indoors any moisture evaporating from the floor will be trapped ...
