Rubber bung won't fit after new Master Cylinder?
Had a new master cylinder fitted, now the rubber floor bung won't fit. It seems the top of the master cylinder is proud of the floor level, so the bung keeps getting forced out of the hole. Any one else seen this, and is there a remedy? (It was a genuine replacement, not a pattern part...)

Worn bushes, or tracking out?, The tie bar bushes may be knackered (gone soft), or tie bar rod or bolt is loose. What about the spacer between tie bar mounting bolt and wishbone- if this was left out, the suspension geometry can change and cause a pull under braking. What about a worn brake drum? A...

Struggling with brakes pulling to one side
67 Traveller. New master cylinder, new drums all round, two new slave cylinders, one on each side in the front, no others weeping as far as I can see, new shoes and springs on front, all bralks adjusted properly, suspension and rear-axle mounting points all tight, yet it is STILL pulling to the left...

Modern Oil quality and servicing schedule
67 traveller. the original service schedule says change engine oil every 6k miles or 6 months.
With the quality of modern oils compared to oils 40 years ago, is that now strictly necessary? (I did less than 3k miles in the last year....)

Recomendation for all-weather out-doors car cover?
I may or may not have a garage to put my Traveller in next winter - if not, any recommendations for an all-weather outdoors cover? (And I mean all-weather - I live 900 ft above sea level....!)

Re: headlight wiring
Oops. I did a silly thing. When changing my headlight I just pulled it out and thought the wiring loom would follow, which it did, except now I dont know which wire goes where. I can only find two spade connectors that look like likely suspects... but what next? MOT next weekend... :o TWO spade con...

I had just that problem too. It was with halogens working through relays and std earth points. Bizzarly it was the earth on the other side that was the cause. A bit of sand paper to get some bright shiny metal both in the bullet connectors and under the earth to body point and all was well again. C...

The earths should not be common, but both earth to the inners wings via a bullet connector. They do tend to corrode and get full of gunk so a clean up is probably all they need. I meant that the earth is common to both the dipped and main beam on the same side - the implication being that if the di...

Odd headlamp problem
First thing I did when I bought my Traveller, was to change the sealed-beam units for halogen. The odd thing is, that while both dipped beams are equal, on main beam, the near side light is quite dim compared to the off side. As the earth is common, it can't be that I would have thought. Any suggest...

Brake adjustment query
had a problem adjusting the rear O/S brake - plenty of meat on shoes, but wouldn't lock on the adjuster. replaces drum, everything OK. Same problem on front O/S, the rearward adjuster doesn't lock. (not quite - it gets "stiff!). The forwards adjuster locks. Again plenty of meat on shoes, new dr...

There's a ppssibility my wiper wheelboxes may be starting to seize Chances are its the original grease that has decided to do its best to turn into a heavy glue type texture, the only real solution it to remove the assembly and clean the old stuff out and replace with modern grease. Is that relativ...

There's a ppssibility my wiper wheelboxes may be starting to seize - is there any way of shoving (say) some WD40 or other lubricant into them without removing them?

I fitted a pair of these to my Traveller. http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.co.uk/VWPweb2000/lights-1/lights-1.html I fitted a pair of standard Wipacs and was a bit disappointed with the full beam - it seemed to be poorer than when I fitted a pair to my MG Midget. (I'd also done an alternator conv...
