Re: series mm front seats

I've done one set with slip-on (not nail-on) backs to the upper piece. Hard work.

I have some Newton built fronts in red leather to sell in the new year, if anyone wants some.

I've got one here near Cardiff, complete, that needs restoring. Came off of OUO 164.

Re: Rear pop out windows for a Morris Minor 2 door??

In theory the 4-door rear frames should be a good fit in the hole, unlike Convertible frames (different profile to the curve). Might be possible to adapt.

I wonder if the late 1500cc MG Midget one could be lengthened?

I have some of the flat rubber doughnut-ish mounts for a Vedette here, if you need any. Used but good.

Re: Differential repair parts

I'd expect zero success, but you never know. The axle design was a scaled-down version of the MGTD, ZA, YA and Morris Oxford so you might possibly find someone who might be able to offer advice based on those models. https://www.mgccyregister.co.uk/technical-information/miscellaneous/the-big-nut-on-...

Re: Low Light Headlamp Parts

Unable to log in for several days.

No idea if they were original. Too many owners. Morris wouldn't have spent much money on the components so it would be sensible to use rubber tubing on a car designed to last just a few years.

Re: Low Light Headlamp Parts

Rubber on mine was just a bit of thin wall rubber tube over the bent bit of metal. Enough to be a slack fit in the hole in the chrome ring.

Re: Noisy differential

Same design concept but the TD/TF/Wolseley 4/44 and Morris Oxford axle is a certain percentage larger in all dimensions. Kinda like a scaled model copy.

Re: Rear hub gasket

churchill.JPG FWIW, this is the original workshop tool for tightening the hub nut on the Austin axles. The thick part is hollow and has a hexagonal cut-out to fit the nut whilst the 2 thinner bits fit down inside the axle casing to line things up. One end for small axles (Minor, Midget etc) and the...

Had mine yesterday. Woke up shaking like crazy and with a fierce headache. Also feel like I've been kicked around like a football. Ouch!

Glad I've finally had it. AZ. Age 52

Mick. Any chance of some more photos of it all dismantled? I'll never get to see one in up close.

Thanks.
